It is mainly about eliminating client-waitress contact in restaurants. If we don’t consider the social and labor effects of this gadget, it is rather cool. Menu items are all with barcodes embedded in the photos. Customer scans the barcode with DeliTouch pen and the order is transmitted wireless to the server, and then a job working on the server instantly prints the order in the kitchen. A question comes to my mind. What if I want my chosen food with let’s say “cheese” excluded because I don’t like it much. There should be some advanced options in any case for better performance. It is also exactly not for a lovely French restaurant client who wants to get the smile from the cute waitress girl. DeliTouch is from Japan and it is said that it costs one third of a touch screen menu system. Here is the advertisement video:
