Memory cards already have a very important place in our daily lives. In telephones, for computers, for photo cameras, almost in every digital gadget. We can increase the samples. It is getting harder to keep track of all memory cards. So, Tom Kenworthy from London, designed a very cool looking concept flash memory card holder to lighten our technology life. It can hold 10 different memory cards. Actually, there are already some memory card wallets sold in Amazon even though they look less stylish but more practical. Anyway, it is something useful that all can need some day.

The magnets embedded on the curtain fabric make the curtain shaping to any form opened or closed. An original Florian Krautli creation. I think that the restaurant owners and shop designers will adore it.

There are plenty of stupidly big speakers out there, but how many of them make good use of their hulking sizes? Not many. That’s why this AMP speaker is so awesome: it’s not only a speaker, but it’s also… a desk. It’s an active speaker, meaning it has an amplifier built into it. Because of that, that necessitated a big case, so why not make it useful? How awesome would it be to have sound coming out of your entire desk? It’s not clear if this is a mere concept or an actual (expensive) product.

If you are a dummy on the nailing process, this product will run for your help. No more pain on the fingers design by the industrial designer Michael Harris. The concept is brilliant and effective. There is a tube system slides down with the nail as you hit the gadget. It is useful also for traditional nailers who don’t like to use fully automated nail guns.

The future houses are planned to be more interactive with the nature and natural resources by talented designers and engineers.

The first one is a solar and wind power combo solution which uses ivy-like flexible leaves to produce energy on the walls.
There are electrical receivers under each leaf to harvest the energy. I find it also aesthetically appealing. The project is called GROW by SMIT, the industrial designer company. Here is an interview with the CEO of SMIT at Ecolect. Their aim is to be able to sell this modular system in design & building stores in 1, 2 years. The photo looks like a CPU, so AMD or Intel can put their logos for advertisement purposes.

The second one is exactly what we will have to do in big cities in the future. An apartment tower with its own hydroponic garden, better to say a little tree park where you can also produce your own organic food. A UN report shows that in 2010, 50% of Chinese population will live in apartments in cities. It is known that it will bring problems of excessive air and soil pollution and the damage to natural resources.
So, here is our hero of Agro-housing. This garden apartment becomes alive in Wuhan, China, soon. A presentation video of the project.
